12 Days of Christmas gift tags - free chart

Hello dear stitchy friends!

It's day 2 of our series '12 Days of Christmas gift tags' and todays free chart is a sweet little robin!

Cross stitch robin made as a gift tag

Isn't he cute?

The great thing about this designs (as with many of the free charts in this series) is that you don't have to use the colours that are called for in the key....any blue would do for the border and the snowflakes, same as the brown and red of the bird. Just go through your stash and pull out any colours that would work :)

I couldn't find a pre-made tag in the colour that I wanted so I just made one myself!

I prepared my stitching the same way as I did for the snowflake design from yesterday, then glued it to some red card and trimmed it to the size I wanted. I folded some blue card, cut it approx. 6.5cm square and then glued my stitching to it. I punched a hole on the back and added some ribbon to attach to a present....another quick and simple gift tag:)

Happy stitching!
