12 Days of Christmas gift tags - free chart

Hello stitchy friends!

Welcome back for our next free chart! It's day four of our '12 days of Christmas gift tags'.

This design is another super-quick stitch and uses only two colors of thread. And like the previous designs, you can use any red and green thread in your stash if you want to use up those scraps of threads that we all have laying about :)

For this tag, I used a pre-made tag as a template to cut some green card - I made two, one for the front and for the back to hide the wrap around stitching and fancy cut paper!

I used a scrapbooking edge cutter like this to get the fancy edge on the red card.

The red card was wrapped it around the tag . The stitching was frayed top and bottom, then iron-on interfacing applied then glued to the tag. The second green tag was glued to the back to hide the joins on the back and also so there was room to write who the gift was for! lol

A narrow gingham ribbon through the hole in the tag and a small heart shaped button glued at the top and the tag was complete!

Doesn't that look great? And please don't ask how many candy canes are left! lol
