12 Days of Christmas gift tags - free chart

Hello dear stitchy friends!

Welcome to day 5 of our free chart series '12 days of Christmas gift tags'. Today we have a sweet (pun intended!) design of the quintessential Christmas candy cane. Please don't ask what happened to the candy canes from yesterday! ;)

I adore candy canes, they just scream Christmas, so of course, I had to stitch one for a gift tag. I also love cinnamon which is why I photographed the gift tag on some cinnamon sticks. Both flavors are just so Christmassy (but separately, not together! lol)

This tag was one of the simplest to make. The stitching was trimmed and the edges frayed. iron-on interfacing applied to the back then the design glued to a pre-made gift tag. Some red and white bakers twine was wrapped round the tag three times and then tied in a bow. Two mini Christmas bells were a fun addition.

It doesn't get any simpler - or more effective - than this!
