Free Cross Stitch Chart: Elf Feet

Elf feet cross stitch ornament with some Christmas glitter

These happy elf feet are our free 'A Year of Christmas Stitching' chart for July...aren't they cute?!!

These little elf feet won't take long to stitch and you can raid your stash to use any red and green threads that you have if you don't have the colours called for in the key. When it comes to Christmas, any red and green would do!

We used out favorite metallic thread in this design which is DMC Diamant, but any metallic thread such as DMC light effects would work too, but as always, use whatever is your favourite metallic thread or whatever you have in your stash!

We finished our stitching as a small pillow ornament and used a Christmas cotton print for the back.

We added some ribbons around the edging...

The red ribbon had a ruffle type edge to it and was sewn on straight from the spool, the green ribbon was 15mm grosgrain which is not the best type of ribbon to make a ruffle edge from, but since it was all we had in our stash, we just went with it!

Once the ribbon was stitched to the ornament, we added some small jingling bells (similar to these) and attached them with red and white bakers twine.

Perfect for Christmas....which will be here before you know it! :)

Happy (A Year of Christmas) stitching!
