Free xstitch chart: Hello summer!


A free summer cross stitch chart.

Hellllllllo summer!


Today is officially the first day of summer (at least where I live - I know some places in the world are in winter right now).


To "celebrate", here is a free chart (at the end of this post). This simple hello summer design doesn't have any backstitch. While I love the look of backstitch, I loooooathe doing it, so I always like to design a simple piece every now and then with absolutely NO backstitch!


This design uses only three colors - I've designed it in BRIGHT pink, orange, and yellow for that summery-happy feel, but you can use any three shades that you like. In fact, you don't even have to use the colors I used... any color will do.

If you want to use the same threads I did, I used DMC 444, 892, and 741.


If you're looking for a good bundle pack of threads, I recently purchased this one, and really like it for playing around with colors on small designs like this "hello summer" one. I bet this design would look really cute in some really bold blues, greens, and purples, too!
