Subscribers September chart
Hello dear email subscribers!
We are so happy that you are joining us on this journey of Christmas stitching. How is your Christmas stitching coming along? Hopefully you are well under way with all you Christmas stitching plans.
For this month's free chart we have a simple 'Merry Christmas' design that you can use in multiple ways...you know how I love these multi-use charts :)
The first thing I did was to make a little gift tag. It's so simple and quick to stitch...it really only takes a few minutes to do and is great for using up those little left-over bits of Aida.

I simply stitched the design with some left-over red thread that I had from a different project, trimmed the stitching to 5 squares from the stitching and then frayed the edges (there a quick tutorial here if you're unsure on how to do this). Since I was going to attach the stitching to a some red card before attaching it to the gift tag, I backed the stitching with some white card so that the red would not show through the holes in the Aida. Then I simply cut a rectangle of red card slightly larger than the stitching and stuck everything together using double sided tape....super easy!
You can add this greeting to any Christmas design you already have to make the design into a card, you could even use this greeting in the Nutcracker design... just swap out the greeting to make another card that's slightly different. I've stitched it in green as you can see here, but you can use any colour you want....just see what colours you have left from stitching the Nutcracker, any of them would work.

I'm off to start stitching some more of these little greetings in other colours so that I have a stash of gift tags already made before Christmas....I just have to plan (and buy!) the gifts now ;)
Happy stitching!
