The Blackwork Stitch Along Week 3

Hello stitchers!


Welcome to Week 3 - can't believe we're already here! The weeks are flying by for this free stitch along, and this week's section is actually my favorite pattern for the entire stitch along. I don't know why, but I find this week's pattern so soothing to stitch and I think it looks beautiful when done. Doesn't it remind you of a stained glass window?


Dark red embroidery thread creates a cross stitch blackwork pattern in the shape of a rectangle.

Above is the design in dark red (Eirinn's) and below is in black with a pop of colour (Rhona's). Don't they look so different?
